Road Trip
Yesterday dawned clear and crisp. The sky was an amazing blue with enormous puffy white clouds floating luxuriously across it. The air was crisp and cool and smelled vaguely of bonfires and dying leaves - the patented smell of impending autumn. It was cool enough for jeans, but warm enough for tshirts, the perfect balance of warm and cold that comes for perhaps only four brilliant weeks a year. Days like that are made for adventures. Our adventure of choice, yesterday, was my first ever visit to the SPAM Museum in Austin, Minnesota. SPAM museum! Most. Fun. Ever. Next on the agenda of weekend road trips - The World's Largest Stack of Empty Oil Cans in North Dakota. The lesson of the weekend is: Keep busy, make your life full and enriching on your own, so that when things crash and burn - you've still got a fairly soft landing. Also - stop putting all your eggs in one basket. Dumbass. Listening To: Still Reading: The Fourth Hand by John Irving Recently Saw: The Vikings wallup the Bears last night. I'm so proud! |
